Advisory is the time for completing homework or traveling to other content classes when needed. Your Advisory class is assigned by your academy. Advisory period is 4th hour.

Advisory travel takes place Tuesday trough Friday. Teachers must sign a student’s planner so they can travel to another class for tutoring in subjects they struggle in.

Matt Lersch, the Assistant Principal of Instruction at South Mountain High School said, “The only changes we made [this year are] no travel days Monday. There will be travel days Friday.”

Another change is that only freshman will have to do Kids at Hope activities this year with their Advisory class.

“We hope all students take advantage of Advisory, Lersch said. “It is an important part of the day and if used effectively can greatly benefit students.”
